Central Indiana continues to battle extreme cold, snow cover
Residents of Central Indiana, including Alexandria, braced for a historic winter snowstorm accompanied by extremely cold temperatures over the weekend. Snow began to fall on Saturday afternoon and continued well into the day and evening Sunday, blanketing the area with approximately 10 inches of snow.

Red Gold makes donation to Homer’s Helpers
The employees at the Red Gold manufacturing plant in Orestes recently raised money to support the Homer’s Helpers organization in Alexandria. Along with the financial contribution, they also donated supplies that will help the organization care for the needs of animals in the community.
