Alexandria man facing handgun, drug charges
After receiving information from the Elwood Police Department concerning a stolen firearm, Alexandria Police arrested Kevin L. Miller of Alexandria. Elwood police alerted the Alexandria police department that a firearm had been stolen by Miller who planned to bring it to Alexandria to shoot someone. Alexandria police immediately worked to locate the intended victim.

Red Gold makes donation to Homer’s Helpers
The employees at the Red Gold manufacturing plant in Orestes recently raised money to support the Homer’s Helpers organization in Alexandria. Along with the financial contribution, they also donated supplies that will help the organization care for the needs of animals in the community.
